To achieve producible, quality designs that meet or exceed cost targets. Develop new or refine products, materials, processes and projects following Quality System Procedures, Total Quality System and Engineering Standard Work procedures.
Use Pro-Engineer as an Engineering tool in the layout, modelling and analysis of engine, engine sub-systems, engine components and assemblies.
Work closely with Manufacturing and Purchasing functions to achieve producible, quality designs that meet or exceed targets.
Work results in the development of new or refined product, materials, processes and projects.
Lead design reviews and document outcome in technical reports.
Lead DFMEA?s* C of C Reviews* DQR. Use DVA* DVP & R* GTOL.
Own the design related Quality System Procedure, Total Quality System and Engineering Standard Work procedures. Produce measures and report to the next level of management.
Provide departmental training on TQS procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
?Pro-E and 3D CAD skills.
?6 : 8 years experience and knowledge of engine design.
?FE analysis skills.
?Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing knowledge.
?DVP & R validation testing knowledge.
?Presentation and communication skills.
?Project leadership experience.
